An art project exploring the impact of words on people and our responsibility for what we say

/ idea, inspiration /
This project grew out of a desire to see how words are reflected within us.
I was inspired by the research of Masaru Emoto, a Japanese author who studied the influence of words, music, and emotions on the structure of water. In his experiments, kind words formed clear, harmonious crystals, while words of anger and fear created broken and chaotic shapes.
If we are made of water by 70%, how do words affect us?
I chose to explore this through photography.

During the project, a personal interaction emerged between me and the participants. Its outcome is captured in the portraits.

/ why I do this /
I believe that a word is not just a sound. It is a form of influence. It can warm, heal, liberate – or it can destroy.
This is a reminder of that power. Of how much can emerge between people – even if one of them is behind a camera.
We are responsible for what we release into the world. Even if it’s just a word. Just a thought. Just a fleeting remark.
And if even one person, seeing these portraits, realizes how important their words are, then the project has already succeeded.
